Alerts
Get alerted before a limit is crossed, from a preset or a rule you build.
An alert tells you before a reading crosses a limit you set, so you do not have to watch a screen. This section covers building a rule, starting from a preset, and sending alerts to a webhook.

- Get alerted before a limit is crossed. Set a threshold rule on a device metric, choose who is told and how, and clear it when the value recovers.
- Use a ready-made preset. Add a proven rule for your device type in two clicks, then adjust it if you need to.
- Send alerts to a webhook. Register an HTTPS endpoint, copy its signing secret once, attach it to a rule, and test it.
